Work Schedule:

  • Participation in several annual conferences, including IFI Staff Retreats

Compensation Structure:

  • Development of a network of ministry partners to ensure adequate prayer and financial backing for salary, benefits, and operational costs
  • Comprehensive training provided to cultivate a supportive team of ministry partners
  • Salary typically ranges from $25,709 to $80,000 following the support development phase, contingent on experience and other relevant factors

Role Responsibilities:

The Hispanic Outreach Minister plays a crucial role in assisting IFI locations in serving international students from Central and South America through practical support and training. This position is integral to the Central Ohio ministry team.

The Hispanic Outreach Minister will:

  • Establish and nurture financial and prayer partnerships to meet the role's budgetary requirements by articulating the ministry's vision
  • Conduct research to understand the unique needs of Hispanic international students
  • Engage with Hispanic international students through relationship-building, developing Bible discussion groups, and one-on-one mentoring, while participating in outreach activities and mentoring 3-4 Hispanic students
  • Recruit and train volunteers to form a campus ministry team, creating effective training programs to foster relationships with Hispanic international students
  • Collaborate with student associations and community organizations

Qualifications:

  • Alignment with IFI's statement of faith, core values, and organizational policies
  • Demonstrated faithfulness, loyalty, and commitment to IFI's mission of extending hospitality and friendship to international students
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • A compassionate heart for international students, coupled with a teachable spirit and spiritual maturity
  • Capacity to manage stress and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Dedication to sharing faith through personal relationships and investing in students' lives
  • Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • At least three years of experience living among or serving Hispanic international students or immigrants
