Work Schedule Expectations:

  • Flexible full-time or part-time options available
  • Occasional evening and weekend commitments for specific events or projects
  • Participation in several annual conferences, including IFI Staff Retreats

Compensation Structure:

  • Development of a ministry partner team is essential to secure the necessary prayer and financial backing for salary, benefits, and ministry-related expenses
  • Training will be provided to cultivate a team of ministry partners
  • Typical salary range is between $25,709 and $80,000 following the support development phase, contingent on experience and other factors

Role Responsibilities:

The South Asian Outreach Minister will collaborate with the Central Ohio ministry team to assist international students from South Asia (including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan) in meaningful ways. This position involves training and equipping students and volunteers for service to these international students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and nurturing financial and prayer partnerships to meet the role's budgetary needs by communicating the ministry's vision
  • Conducting research to comprehend the needs of South Asian international students
  • Engaging with South Asian international students through connection-building, developing Bible discussion groups, and facilitating one-on-one interactions, as well as participating in outreach activities and mentoring 3-4 South Asian students
  • Recruiting and training Christians to form a campus ministry team, including creating training programs to foster relationships with South Asian international students
  • Connecting with student associations and community organizations

  • Commitment to sharing faith through personal relationships and investing deeply in students' lives
  • Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
