The Residence Hall Director is a 12-month live-in position responsible for coordinating all aspects of student development in the residential facilities at Northern Kentucky University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train 8-18 Resident Assistants
  • Develop and implement learning strategies and programming for residential students
  • Manage budgets and resources for residential facilities
  • Mitigate crises and conflicts in a residential setting
  • Lead and develop paraprofessional and graduate staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Live-on higher education housing experience
  • Experience mitigating crises and conflicts
  • Experience supervising paraprofessional staff
  • Experience with higher education student conduct
  • Leadership skills
  • Training in diversity/inclusion/interculturalism
  • Experience managing budgets
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a residential setting
  • Knowledge of student development theories and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
