Join the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Senior Finance and Operations Associate to serve as the financial and operational lead for a portfolio of up to two major initiatives. You will work closely with senior F&O staff to ensure efficient operational management and coordinate grant- and gift-related financial activities for major J-PAL initiatives and/or program areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate grant- and gift-related financial activities for major J-PAL initiatives and/or program areas
- Pull data from internal MIT accounting systems and prepare regular financial reports on grants for donors and J-PAL staff
- Report on spending compared to budget and monitor subaward spend progress
- Advise project managers and senior management on financial position, spend-down, potential issues, reforecasting, and gaps in project funding
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least three years of relevant experience in a field such as grant management or finance
- Experience with financial budgeting, tracking, and projections (preferred)
