About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neutronics Codes and Methods Engineer to join our team at Framatome. As a key member of our Fuel Business Unit, you will play a critical role in maintaining and developing the engineering software used to design and license fuel assemblies for our customers' nuclear reactor cores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop software and company products that support the design and licensing of Framatome fuel.
  • Program new or revise existing software based on technical and performance objectives of a project.
  • Perform licensing assessments for Framatome fuel design and methods.
  • Develop and benchmark models used in licensing assessments.
  • Interface with U.S. regulations to license Framatome reactor core design and methods.
  • Work within a Linux computing environment.
Requirements
  • BS in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering role, with a focus on reactor physics or thermal-hydraulics.
  • Experience with software development using C, C++, Fortran, or Python.
  • Experience with computer model development and application, such as SERPENT, MCNP, SCALE, CASMO, or SIMULATE.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse groups.
  • Experience developing and documenting software within an NQA-1 quality assurance program.
