The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and direct care to individuals in a health and rehabilitation facility. Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, the PCA assists residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.


PCA Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with personal hygiene tasks such as grooming and bathing for patients with limited mobility.
2. Preparing patient rooms with essential items including linens, medical supplies, and personal belongings.
3. Aiding patients with meals and medication administration.
4. Ensuring patients receive adequate nutrition and regular meal times.
5. Monitoring patients' vital signs and behaviors, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
6. Safely transferring patients with mobility challenges between beds and wheelchairs.
7. Adjusting patients' positions in bed to prevent pressure ulcers.
8. Performing additional duties as needed.

Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License.
- At least one form of identification: Passport, Social Security Card, or Birth Certificate.
- Current Nursing License.
- Direct Deposit Information.
- Recent Physical Examination (within the last 30 days).
- Current PPD test results (2-step, Chest X-ray, etc.).
- Proof of Influenza/COVID Vaccinations (if applicable).
- CPR Certification (mandatory for RNs and LPNs).
- Successful completion of Background Check and Drug Screening.
