Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities- Review patient medical records and update information in our system.
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Maintain and organize client educational materials.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties to keep the department in order.
- Admit and discharge patients as per hospital protocols.
- Process prescription refills in-house and coordinate with external and online pharmacies.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and log their vital signs.
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Assist with placing catheters and performing blood draws.
- Restrain and assist the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of related experience in a veterinary setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) status in Pennsylvania is a plus but not required. We are open to training the right candidate who is passionate about veterinary care.
