Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review patient medical records and update information in our system.
  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Maintain and organize client educational materials.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties to keep the department in order.
  • Admit and discharge patients as per hospital protocols.
  • Process prescription refills in-house and coordinate with external and online pharmacies.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and log their vital signs.
  • Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Assist with placing catheters and performing blood draws.
  • Restrain and assist the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a veterinary setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) status in Pennsylvania is a plus but not required. We are open to training the right candidate who is passionate about veterinary care.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
