Position: Machine Operator

Role Responsibilities:
A Certified Operator must first successfully complete the Certified Operator training program. The Certified Operator is accountable for the daily production of the assigned machine or machines as designated by the Lead Operator or Shift Supervisor. Responsibilities include ensuring efficient and profitable production output, as well as timely delivery of quality components to the customer in accordance with documented Quality System Manual procedures and company policies. This encompasses training and mentoring both existing and new personnel, maintaining documentation, troubleshooting issues, and effective communication.

Key Duties:

  • Review quality requirements in the Process Documentation Procedure (PDP) each day. Operator Instructions, Packaging Instructions, and Quality Inspection Instructions must be meticulously read to ensure comprehensive understanding of procedures and part defect history. Sign the Daily Training Log post-review.
  • Ensure the operator workstation at the press is correctly configured.
  • Conduct visual inspections of two (2) shots prior to adding products to the finished goods box.
  • Package products carefully to avoid contamination and/or damage.
  • Count, document, and report production scrap.
  • Maintain press collection bins throughout the shift to ensure acceptable inspection levels.
  • Ensure consistent machine cycle to uphold quality and productivity on operator tasks.
  • Communicate any quality issues or concerns to the Lead Operator and Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Notify the Lead Operator of poor-quality yield (high rejects), low production rates, or part containment issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the production area and assist with general housekeeping during the shift and at shift handoff.
  • Ensure the floor and work areas are clean and left in an acceptable condition for the next shift.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and specific equipment safety practices as required.
  • Relieve operators for breaks and/or lunches as directed by the Lead Operator or Shift Supervisor.
  • Assist or substitute for other team members as necessary to maintain the production schedule.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor and/or management.

Essential Skills:
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency in using basic measuring tools.
  • Physical Requirements: Stand for eight hours daily, capable of lifting 30 lbs. throughout the day, manual dexterity, and good eyesight.
  • Educational Requirement: High School Diploma.

Shifts Available:
  • B-Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • C-Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM


Compensation: $16 – $17.30 per hour
