Job Overview:
Focused on Sales and Service in Personal Lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily service support on tasks assigned by Producers and/or Account Executives, adhering to the agency's established procedures. This includes managing account transactions such as quoting and issuing policies, generating ID cards, processing endorsements, creating certificates, handling claims, managing renewals, and responding to client inquiries and correspondence promptly. Engage in insurance marketing and sales, collect renewal data for assigned accounts, and provide claims support. Review new and renewal policies and endorsements to ensure accuracy and compliance with client expectations. Maintain precise client data within the agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC) and document all activities accurately. Collaborate with other agency departments to gather and provide necessary information for issuing appropriate policies for mutual clients. Keep Producers informed of significant account activities, being proactive in identifying potential issues and communicating them to management. Stay updated on industry trends by participating in educational seminars and training to enhance insurance and sales skills, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements. Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements from contracted insurance carriers and be aware of policy provisions and any modifications. Undertake additional functions and assignments as required, including backup duties.This description is intended to provide a general overview of the role and may be adjusted at management's discretion.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities. Mathematical proficiency: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Reasoning skills: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions. Experience with Applied Systems / EPIC is advantageous.Education and Experience:
High School diploma is required; an Associate Degree or higher is preferred. Active Property & Casualty License is necessary. Completion of CPCU or specialized training courses is a plus.Benefits:
