Position Overview

ITS ConGlobal is in search of a seasoned professional to fill the role of Railyard Terminal Manager. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in Intermodal, Supply Chain, or Logistics.

In the role of Railyard Terminal Manager, you will oversee a complex terminal operation, prioritizing safety, administration, maintenance, train performance, and productivity. Strong leadership is essential, as you will guide employees and uphold safety standards. A successful candidate will possess critical thinking abilities, be deadline-oriented, and demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct terminal operations to achieve key performance indicators, including train performance metrics.
  • This is a 'Working Manager' position requiring active participation in daily operations.
  • Oversee overall profit and loss responsibilities.
  • Enhance staff engagement and retention through effective leadership.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with local railroad officials.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ITS ConGlobal and our clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Address policy violations with care and administer necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Manage terminal purchases and budget adherence.
  • Verify weekly time and attendance records for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with talent acquisition to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Oversee the training and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Provide terminal performance metrics and reports as required.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in intermodal, transportation, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • A strong work ethic is required.
  • Availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
