POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grain Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in sourcing grain and/or marketing finished products to optimize financial performance. This position involves cultivating and sustaining relationships with clients while also participating in various business operations such as finance, supply chain oversight, and a comprehensive understanding of current grain markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the primary responsibilities associated with this role:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with a diverse customer base
  • Manage customer accounts and address all account-related inquiries promptly to ensure exceptional service
  • Strategically merchandise products to enhance profitability
  • Devise, develop, and execute grain procurement strategies
  • Analyze market trends and interpret industry reports while staying informed of any shifts in the market landscape
  • Enhance understanding of competitor strategies
  • Gain insights into local operational processes
  • Comprehend supply chain logistics, including available transportation options
  • Execute any additional duties as assigned by supervisors
