Position Overview:
We are in search of a proactive and results-oriented Senior Analyst to enhance operational efficiency within our bakery operations. This crucial role entails analyzing production metrics, spearheading process enhancement initiatives, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement through the application of effective methodologies and strategies. The ideal candidate will serve as a catalyst for change, equipped with robust analytical capabilities to oversee and coordinate activities related to performance, quality assurance, and KPI tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the achievement of the organization's strategic and operational goals with a proactive approach.
- Act as a change leader, directing and coordinating efforts around performance metrics, quality assurance, and KPI oversight.
- Facilitate, sponsor, and lead project teams while championing the Aspire Operations Excellence initiative, enhancing operational systems, processes, and best practices to ensure organizational success.
- Compile, document, and present production data derived from production schedules, product specifications, and individual performance records.
- Oversee, manage, and uphold standard operating procedures and product specifications.
- Examine production trends and discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and collaborate with production leadership to devise sustainable solutions.
- Create visual aids to assist production in establishing a sustainable operational framework.
- Lead, instruct, and educate personnel on process improvement methodologies and techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Problem Solving, and Kaizen.
- Maintain a comprehensive log of significant production events to mitigate the risk of recurrence.
- Calculate production-related metrics such as item types, quantities produced, material usage, scrap rates, and departmental production rates.
- Maintain organized records of documents utilized and generated.
- Graph production data based on compiled statistics for reference by production and management teams.
- Address and resolve any SAP-related issues and report discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate SAP reporting.
- Verify that all received information is complete and accurate, following up on any missing details with supervisors or leads.
- Work towards maintaining and enhancing the quality, legality, and safety of products and manufacturing processes. Responsible for keeping the work area clean and reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activities to a supervisor promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant analytical field (e.g., Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance).
- Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preference for candidates with over five years of experience in Process Improvement/Engineering, project management, or process analysis within a manufacturing context.
- Experience with programming and data querying software (e.g., Visual Basics, DAX, SQL). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Strong project management skills with an analytical approach to process enhancement.
- Ability to perform calculations involving proportions, percentages, decimals, and other mathematical concepts.
- Ability to interpret and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form, and to address problems involving multiple concrete variables.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills, capable of presenting information to groups of customers or employees. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, project management, and manufacturing software is essential.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $86,000. Aspire Bakeries values the contributions of each team member. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will depend on various factors, including location, shift, education, skills, and experience.
