Job Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the General Manager in leading the Del Taco Brand and growing sales while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality restaurant employees in compliance with the employee position report.
  • Ensure the entire team is certified according to the current training process at all times.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Create a service-oriented culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction.
  • Promote a fun and collaborative work environment.
  • Evaluate employee performance and recommend salary increases.
  • Administer disciplinary action, suspension, and/or termination as needed.
  • Develop and grow team members to achieve their full potential.
Delivering the Brand
  • Execute Del Taco Standards and utilize our processes and systems 100% of the time.
  • Maintain the facility and customer areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and meets safety standards.
  • Deliver high-quality products to Del Taco standards every time.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules and standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure employees are properly attired and present a professional image.
  • Provide a consistent service experience that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Ensure POP and signage are present and in approved locations.
Driving Sales and Profitability
  • Assist the General Manager in identifying and communicating sales goals (daily, weekly, year-over-year).
  • Ensure the right people are in the right places according to projected/actual sales.
  • Increase customer count and check average, and maximize capacity and customer value.
  • Support the General Manager in identifying and executing Local Store Marketing opportunities to attract new customers.
  • Stay aware of local events and understand the store's current trade area and competition.
  • Execute speed (speed with a smile) and service standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Flawlessly execute marketing promotions and campaigns to drive sales and growth.
Ensuring Profitability
  • Maintain staffing levels to actual sales to optimize labor costs.
  • Comply with labor laws and regulations to avoid penalties and fines.
  • Accurately order and manage inventory to reduce waste and prevent theft.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures and standards are in place and followed.
  • Perform cash audits and address identified issues to maintain a secure and accurate cash handling process.
  • Execute safety and health standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Minimize R&M/Supplies and Services costs by managing service vendors efficiently.
  • Achieve and communicate controllable cost targets to drive profitability.
