Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, as well as communicating with radiologists and assisting patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients with transportation and exam preparation.
  • Review exams and file work accurately.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen required.
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
  • Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
