Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at Post Consumer Brands. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and providing strategic leadership to achieve objectives in safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor operations employees to meet performance expectations and uphold company standards.
- Manage inventory levels to meet production demands, quality standards, and cost constraints.
- Facilitate employee communications, handle personnel and production issues.
- Maintain operations facilities, equipment, and systems in working condition while meeting regulatory requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance processing and packaging efficiencies.
- Implement new procedures and equipment changes to optimize operations.
- Establish and oversee training programs for team members and assist in their self-development.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, harmonious relationships between shifts, and proper handling of emergencies.
- Provide technical expertise, act as the stand-in for the Operations Manager when necessary.
- Mentor other operations supervisors and team leads.
- Uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement when applicable.
Requirements
- Leadership Competencies: Organizing, planning, drive for results, builds effective teams, problem solving, business acumen, etc.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience, food processing/packaging experience is a plus.
- Must have previous supervisory experience, strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement tools.
