Job Overview

The Payroll Administration Expert plays a crucial role in managing and executing payroll functions for our clientele. This position involves onboarding new employees, updating existing staff records, and processing payroll for terminated employees, alongside generating payroll-related documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with designated clients to evaluate overall payroll requirements.
  • Generates necessary reports, filings, and documentation, including payroll summaries, year-end tax documents, and other client-specific reports.
  • Oversees and executes payroll for clients, which includes updating payroll databases with new hires and terminations, adjusting pay rates and deductions, verifying timesheets, completing the payroll cycle, managing direct deposit entries, preparing payroll tax submissions, and issuing W-2 forms.
  • Handles in-house payroll processing and the electronic filing of payroll returns.
  • Facilitates new hire onboarding and communication processes.
  • Coordinates with client support regarding payroll agency communications.
  • Manages garnishments, benefit plan responsibilities, and other reporting obligations to Accounts Payable.
  • Processes payroll transactions if managed by third-party services.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience is necessary.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Proficient technology skills are essential.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
