The HVAC Truck-Based Mechanical Service Supervisor is accountable for leading HVAC Service initiatives, focusing on customer account management, labor and material growth, and the execution of service operations for the assigned customer base.

This position aims to enhance profitability and operational efficiency while fostering customer relationships and satisfaction.

This role encompasses employee and customer development, retention strategies, and ensuring compliance with JCI safety protocols across technician and customer sites.


Operational Duties:


Support the Branch Service Manager in establishing and tracking objectives for customer account gross margin and profitability, which includes Planned Services Agreements and Labor & Materials (L&M) tasks.

Drive L&M growth through Technicians and Team Leads, and lead the execution of service operations, including addressing warranty-related customer concerns.

Responsible for managing fleet and tool inventory effectively.


Ensure consistent service delivery by supervising and auditing Technicians, Customer Service Agents, and other personnel involved in the service process.

Review and authorize all L&M quotations.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and managing accounts payable/receivable.


Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet current and future business demands, including hiring, training, and managing the performance of the HVAC service team, conducting formal performance evaluations, and addressing related issues.

Share accountability for the Mechanical Team's safety performance and training compliance to align with industry standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications:
Required
Completion of technical school training or equivalent experience in the HVAC or building controls sector.

A minimum of three years of management experience in a comparable service delivery environment.

Strong ability to prioritize team activities, manage schedules, and lead a diverse workforce.

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Proven proficiency in both written and verbal communication.

Basic financial accounting experience in managing budgets from monthly to yearly.

Experience in skilled trades related services for a diverse commercial and industrial clientele.

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications and basic Windows environments.

Preferred
A diploma in Electronics or Mechanical Systems.

Two to five years of prior experience in the HVAC or building controls industry, or construction trades.

Over five years in a service management position leading a similar service delivery team.
