A Dialysis Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering specialized nursing care within one of DCI's in-center hemodialysis facilities as part of a collaborative patient care team. Our RNs are vital in ensuring that safe practices and optimal outcomes are prioritized for each patient.

Work Schedule: Full-time, four 10-hour shifts starting at 5:00 AM; Sundays off; no overnight shifts.

Compensation: Salary range is based on nursing and dialysis experience.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Preparing dialysis machines, alarms, and treatment supplies while ensuring quality standards are upheld
  • Conducting hemodialysis treatments in accordance with facility policies and procedures
  • Providing ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching
  • Monitoring patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating any changes to physicians and families
  • Administering and documenting all prescribed medications
  • Adhering to CDC/CMS infection control regulations
  • Participating in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews
  • Documenting required patient education efforts
  • Facilitating continuity of care with local healthcare facilities
  • Assisting in maintaining medication inventory
  • Leading a small patient care team
  • Contributing to the onboarding of new staff members as directed
  • Performing additional tasks as requested

Education and Training Requirements:

  • An accredited nursing degree is required
  • Dialysis experience is not mandatory; job shadowing opportunities are available
  • DCI offers 3 months of comprehensive training, including classroom sessions and one-on-one skills training
