About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director to join our Office of Field Experience division at Grand Canyon Education, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the director and other senior department management in formulating policy and processes into departmental management practices to support the strategic and operational goals of the organization and the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing strategy for operational management and development to meet agreed organizational performance goals within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Assist with operational execution of initiatives to support departmental performance goals.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
  • Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff.
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Liaise with other functional/departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and other regulatory compliance guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant leadership/management experience.
  • Ability to develop positive professional relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and action oriented.
  • Proficient with standard office programs and systems.
  • Must be able to pass background investigations.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
