About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Field Medical to lead our Retirement Income teams in providing exceptional solutions to our members. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing multiple teams of Retirement Income Specialists, implementing changes to promote efficient and effective operations, and developing programs to maximize effectiveness of member acquisition and relationship efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Retirement managers, Sales/Solutions Consultants, and Process Owners to build leadership skills, improve coaching effectiveness, and plan, direct, and coordinate activities for complex processes.
  • Develop and implement operational plans in Retirement Income areas, providing research and analysis on strategic initiatives and making recommendations.
  • Analyze existing workflow and processes by organizing and integrating resources and systems for Retirement Income areas, implementing changes to promote efficient and effective operations.
  • Identify, develop, and execute detailed continuous improvement plans to achieve measurable process and productivity improvements with Retirement Income.
  • Develop, process, and performance standards for Retirement Income, ensuring appropriate coordination and implementation of Life Company specific programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Provide research and documentation support for use in responding to regulatory authority inquiries and audits, ensuring risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 12 years of experience in financial services operations, including process improvement and business analysis.
  • 4 or more years of direct team lead or management experience providing coaching, development, and/or leadership in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial products and services relevant to life or health insurance or retirement income.
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • MBA or master's degree in a financial or business-related field.
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP) designation.
  • 10 or more years of Retirement Planning and/or Annuity experience.
  • 5 or more years of working experience directly leading a team of investment advisors.
  • RICP (Retirement Income Certified Professional) Designation.
  • Experience managing in a call center environment.
