Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods department, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also lead and develop Team Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Store Layout and Product Merchandising

Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.

Work with Team Leader to Achieve Sales, Purchasing, and Labor Targets

Collaborate with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring the prepared foods department operates efficiently and effectively.

Assist Team Leader in Analysis of Sales, Reports, and Labor

Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor data to inform business decisions and drive growth.

Demonstrate Advanced Product Knowledge and Develop Awareness of New Products

Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products, ensuring the prepared foods department offers the best possible products to customers.

Maintain Good Vendor Relationships and Ensure Proper Paperwork Submission

Maintain good vendor relationships and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing, ensuring seamless operations.

Work with Team Leader to Resolve Team Concerns or Issues

Collaborate with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Function as Point Person and Departmental Person in Charge in Absence of Team Leader

Function as the point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader, ensuring the prepared foods department operates smoothly and efficiently.

Set and Achieve Highest Standards of Retail Execution

Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, ensuring the prepared foods department meets or exceeds company expectations.
