**Job Summary**

P and C Recruiting is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as a Chief Commercial Officer - Steel Sector. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering the company's global commercial business strategy, including sales, marketing, distribution, and logistics.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial business plan that aligns with the company's mission and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and sustainable supply chain.
  • Lead the company's sales and marketing efforts to support ongoing business targets, including developing and executing sales team member objectives.
  • Develop and lead the company's distribution and logistics strategy for iron ore pellets and direct reduced iron (DRI).
  • Develop and lead the company's commercial regulatory compliance guidelines and policies.
  • Lead a commercial team of employees with a strong focus on safety, financial effectiveness, and employee retention outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive pricing strategy aligned with business objectives.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a strategic and tactical commercial leadership role within the resource industry, preferably in the steel, iron ore, or DRI sectors.
  • Demonstrated competency in commercial business strategy execution.
  • Strong background in analyzing, optimizing, and resolving commercial and logistics challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with diverse external stakeholders.
  • Ability to approach work with flexibility and agility in response to changing industry and business needs.
  • Ability to work well independently as a self-driven leader while holding employees accountable.
  • Strong attention to safety and regulatory requirements and policies.
  • Effective organizational skills, including attention to detail.
  • Proven experience developing and leading teams of employees.
