Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Global Executive & Private Client Group (GEPC) team in our Business Tax Services practice. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in supporting and overseeing large outsourcing engagements/projects, as well as managing day-to-day services provided within our global HRS practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee large outsourcing engagements/projects, including cross-border employment-based processes, HR policies, benefits, retirement plans, taxes, and relocation processes.
  • Oversee and support the management of day-to-day services provided within our global HRS practice, including coordination with third-party providers, leveraging technology, and mentoring and overseeing Japanese and Korean bilingual staff.
  • Maintain a service focus centered on supporting Japanese and Korean headquartered organizations.
  • Develop, enhance, and monitor service models to support a consistent high-level customer experience and ensure pre-established client service level agreements are satisfied.
  • Serve as a central point of contact and primary client interface related to supporting Japanese and non-Japanese executives and their families relocating to the U.S. for three-to-four-year international assignments.
  • Work directly with various client business leaders to help ensure employee transfers are successful and related HR support services are provided in a comprehensive and holistic manner.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of recent, prior hands-on HR support and administrative work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Working knowledge of employment-based compensation arrangements and compliance processes, including helping with gathering information to support international transfers, supporting and working with various third-party providers to assist in gathering necessary documents, and translation services as needed.
  • Familiarity with payroll, Workday, and various HR systems for large Japanese headquartered companies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required; proven experience with PeopleSoft, SharePoint, and Taleo is desired.
  • Strong business-level language skills in English and Japanese are required.
  • Self-motivated and driven with the ability to successfully work independently, as well as part of a team.
