Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Permanent Staff Accountant to contribute to our financial operations. This hybrid position allows for a blend of in-office and remote work, offering flexibility while fulfilling essential accounting duties. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your main duties will include:

1. Overseeing and processing expense reports, billing, collections, and tax submissions.
2. Managing ACH transactions and check disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Preparing and analyzing aging reports to assess the financial position of the company.
4. Conducting financial reporting and analysis to provide actionable insights.
5. Regularly maintaining and reconciling the general ledger.
6. Ensuring adherence to financial accounting standards and regulations.
7. Performing auditing tasks to identify and resolve discrepancies.
8. Assisting in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts.
9. Analyzing variances and providing explanations along with potential solutions.
10. Collaborating with various departments to enhance financial management processes.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification is advantageous.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
3. Proficiency in managing expense reports, billing, collections, tax filings, and ACH transactions.
4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, general ledger maintenance, auditing, budgeting, and variance analysis.
5. Excellent analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
6. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. A collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
10. Capability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal oversight.
