I - Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this position is to spearhead the development of sourcing category strategies across various categories and expenditures. This role demands innovative thought processes and negotiation prowess to bolster revenue growth while enhancing existing operations and maximizing value for PGP International.

The essential responsibilities include crafting and executing category strategies for significant categories at PGP International. This encompasses the sourcing and management of rice ingredients and vegetable proteins to support ongoing operations. Additionally, the role necessitates the establishment of key processes to ensure a steady supply of these ingredients.
II - Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies, aiming for zero workplace incidents.
- Develop strategic category plans and annual sourcing strategies, collaborating with purchasing coordinators to execute sourcing and negotiations that ensure supply and continuous improvement in cost, quality, and value.
- Collaborate with leaders from Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Sales to formulate contracting strategies and execute contracts that meet customer and business needs.
- Lead sourcing teams to manage supply and demand effectively over both short and long-term periods.
- Oversee safety stock and master data management in response to market and operational changes to achieve on-time in-full (OTIF) and working capital objectives.
- Investigate material shortages and issues with suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Monitor market trends and provide updates to leadership, sales teams, and customers.
- Enhance sustainable procurement practices both internally and externally.
- Develop proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX System to interpret data and create reports for managing key categories.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers to ensure optimal value for the organization.
- Work closely with the Purchasing and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Partner with R&D to identify ingredient requirements and secure samples from alternative suppliers for evaluation.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure timely resolution of potential issues and train staff on technical and commercial aspects of the categories.

IV - Job Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or business is preferred.
Experience: 5 to 7 years in procurement sourcing and management, ideally within the food industry, with a solid understanding of its key drivers.
Competencies: Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. A collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in forecasting tools and ERP systems, along with strong analytical abilities for data evaluation.
Language: Fluency in English is required; Spanish is preferred.

This role is primarily office-based, with regular interactions with colleagues in both office and factory settings.
