Job Summary

Martin Transportation Systems is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems
  • Perform routine maintenance on trucks and trailers
  • Inspect and repair brakes, suspension, and other critical systems
  • Work with Detroit and Cummins Engines
  • Perform general maintenance on Freightliner Tractors and trailers
  • Repair and maintain trailers, including washing and yard checks
  • Assist with shop clean-up and organization
  • Perform light computer work as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • ASE certification or equivalent experience
  • Fluent use of Class 8 software
  • 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
