Personal Care Assistant

Our Mission: To create a nurturing atmosphere where everyone feels valued and cared for.
We are currently in search of a Health Care Aide who will be responsible for delivering essential personal care services, administering medications, assisting with light housekeeping, and providing meal service support. Additionally, you will engage residents in various social and recreational activities.
- Please note that we have Part Time, Full Time, and Casual positions available.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident suites and shared spaces
- Assist with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and incontinence support
- Facilitate simple transfers
- Respond calmly to medical emergencies
- Help with resident laundry and meal service as required
- Adhere to Care Plans and report any changes or concerns
- Collaborate with residents to meet their care needs
- Utilize knowledge and skills to provide competent care for aging adults
- Comply with provincial health service standards and regulations
- Promote safety through awareness of accident and injury prevention
- Perform other duties as necessary to support operational needs
- Completion of provincial Health Care Aide certification
- Registered with the provincial health care registry
- Completion of a Medication Administration course
- Experience in a residential care environment is preferred
- Knowledge of infection control procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with residents, peers, and visitors
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple resident requests
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Capability to prioritize tasks and solve problems
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Exhibit compassion and professionalism while assisting residents
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training
- Clear Police Information Check
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
