As an Academic Advisor at the University of Houston, you will play a vital role in guiding students towards academic success. Your primary responsibility will be to provide information and advice to both enrolled and prospective students regarding the university's academic programs, including admission and retention requirements through graduation.

You will analyze and process degree plans, graduation applications, grade change forms, and general petitions. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student files is also a key aspect of this role.

Additionally, you may assist in conducting orientation sessions for incoming students, recruiting high school and community college students, and making presentations at special events. Your thorough understanding of academic programs and policies will enable you to provide expert guidance to students.

Requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree and three years of directly related experience. A strong understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline is essential.
