Administrative Office Manager for College of Architecture and Design

The University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to provide support to the School of Interior Architecture. As a key member of the administrative team, this individual will be responsible for managing complex projects, coordinating events, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the school director, including project management, record-keeping, and scheduling.
  • Manage departmental budgets, coordinate travel arrangements, and oversee purchasing processes.
  • Develop and implement reports, correspondence, and meeting minutes as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between faculty, staff, and administrators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven ability to work on complex projects, solve problems, and think critically about tasks and projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, Google Drive, and other cloud storage platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of professional administrative experience in a complex organization.
  • Experience collaborating in teams with various levels of engagement.
  • Background in higher education administration.

This position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including reduced tuition for employee dependents that attend college in the University of Tennessee system.
