Position Overview

The Line Maintenance Operations Manager oversees all maintenance activities at designated stations. This role is crucial in managing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to guarantee the safety and reliability of our aircraft. A focus on safety and continuous improvement is essential, fostering a culture that prioritizes employee wellbeing and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance operations and workforce, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Report directly to the Director of Line Maintenance or Senior Manager regarding maintenance activities, both routine and non-routine, while organizing resources to maintain aircraft reliability.
  • Promote a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of station personnel against established performance metrics and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all maintenance work aligns with HAL Policies, Procedures, and Federal regulations, including adherence to OEM and HAL approved manuals.
  • Facilitate training for personnel and ensure the availability of necessary tools and materials for operations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Ground Support Equipment to monitor and maintain equipment readiness.
  • Lead maintenance teams with the goal of achieving zero operational delays.
  • Manage the annual budget for Line Maintenance at assigned stations, including budget development, expense tracking, and performance reviews.
  • Guide and mentor Line Maintenance staff, balancing organizational and employee needs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking operational efficiencies in a dynamic environment.
  • Monitor production levels and identify opportunities for increased productivity.
  • Provide timely updates to Maintenance Operations Control and leadership regarding aircraft status and resource challenges.
  • Manage overtime to align with company goals.
  • Coordinate with Reliability, Engineering, and MOC to address trends and challenges.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between Line Maintenance and Planning for both daily and long-term maintenance activities.
  • Work with Engineering and MOC to expedite the return of aircraft to service safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain HAL property and equipment to the highest standards.
  • Align team members with departmental vision and goals, focusing on their professional development.
  • Enforce administrative and disciplinary policies, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Ensure all required training for technicians meets HA and regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Strong analytical and operational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA/AOA badge.
  • Valid driver's license and passport required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with B787, A321, and A330 aircraft.
  • Familiarity with TRAX software.
  • Experience in FAR part 121 and/or 135 operations.
  • College degree with a focus on Aviation.
