About the Position

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of new construction projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in feasibility studies, due diligence, and proforma development for construction projects.
  • Manage pre-development and design teams to ensure design documentation meets industry standards, budgets, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the permitting process and ensure all construction projects are approved and compliant.
  • Direct the bidding, negotiation, and contract/subcontract award process within a construction context.
  • Handle construction contracts, including drafting, change orders, invoices, and progress payments.
  • Oversee the construction process, ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings focused on construction milestones and objectives.
  • Act as the primary problem-solver for construction-related issues, resolving conflicts and initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records, including construction plans, specifications, submittals, change orders, and closeout documentation.
  • Share construction-specific knowledge and insights to promote best practices across project teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Construction Project Manager will lead and manage pre-development, design, and construction teams across multiple projects, focusing on mentoring and coaching team members with construction expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a construction-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in project management, specifically within construction.
  • Strong budgeting and reporting skills relevant to construction project demands.
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel and Microsoft Project, along with industry-standard construction project management and scheduling software.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with robust interpersonal and organizational skills suited to construction project environments.
  • Ability to work independently and lead diverse teams in a construction setting.
  • Strong problem-solving, business, and communication skills with experience in managing complex construction projects.
