Position Overview:

The Food and Beverage (F&B) division encompasses over 300 restaurants dedicated to delivering excellence in mountain dining as part of the overall ski experience. The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager plays a vital role in overseeing daily operations and supporting the Food & Beverage General Manager in training and supervising staff. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment and requires outstanding interpersonal skills, along with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare management reports related to revenue accounting, tip distribution, scheduling, product ordering, payroll, inventory management, and daily logs.
  • Fully understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Ensure all guests receive warm, responsive, and courteous service at all times, stepping in as needed to uphold service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Achieve company goals in sales, service quality, facility appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness through effective employee training and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Organize and complete all necessary paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent working condition of all equipment through personal inspections and adherence to preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their assignments to ensure efficient and timely food production.
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality F&B Executive Chef to execute menus, train staff on recipes, and oversee their preparation.
  • Schedule staff according to business levels, forecasting, and labor cost objectives.
  • Manage inventory control of kitchen products.
  • Conduct self-audits as necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 40 lbs.
  • ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain).
The expected salary range for this position is $52,000 - $56,000, based on various factors.
