The Software Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting the full lifecycle of software assets, ensuring compliance with operational needs. This role will utilize Oracle Financial Cloud and ServiceNow for acquiring, tracking, and managing software licenses and subscriptions (SaaS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the full lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, tracking, and compliance.
  • Oversee asset activities by monitoring ServiceNow request queues, logs, and reports.
  • Perform procurement tasks using Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC).
  • Assist with tracking IT expenses in relation to budget and forecasts.
  • Interpret licensing agreements and negotiate commercial terms with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance of software assets with contractual agreements and conditions.
  • Maintain and update software support and service contracts.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to document and monitor changes to assets.
  • Assist in audits of IT assets.
  • Maintain accurate asset records by tracking and documenting changes such as installs, moves, additions, and modifications.
  • Compile, analyze, and share reports on asset history and status.
  • Utilize software asset management (SAM) tools and auto-discovery technologies to track assets.
  • Provide analysis of cost-saving opportunities and identify potential savings across asset spending.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or related years of experience
  • 3+ years of asset management experience
  • EAM/ERP system experience, including data entry and reporting
  • Experience procuring & managing software assets, licenses, and contracts
  • MS Office application skills (specifically Excel & Outlook)
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Oracle Financial Cloud and/or ServiceNow Experience preferred
