Job Title: Furniture Sales Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Furniture Sales Supervisor is primarily tasked with overseeing the furniture sales team and enhancing overall sales performance. This role is accountable for the furniture department's success, focusing on merchandising, presentation, and recovery standards, while also monitoring sales metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the furniture department's operational performance, ensuring effective sales processes, training for sales personnel, and adherence to customer service and merchandising standards.
  2. Provide clear guidance and coaching to team members on all facets of the sales process, including product knowledge, competitive analysis, and customer service practices.
  3. Offer constructive feedback to management regarding team performance and sales strategies.
  4. Assist customers with product inquiries, selections, and purchases, ensuring they are informed about delivery options.
  5. Oversee the price hold process, conducting regular audits to maintain accuracy.
  6. Manage inventory within the furniture department, performing cycle counts to optimize sales and inventory turnover.
  7. Identify and address display needs promptly to maintain high merchandising standards.
  8. Continuously strive to enhance the department's sales performance, ensuring that merchandising, presentation, cleanliness, and recovery standards are upheld.
  9. Assume the Manager on Duty role as necessary, providing leadership and direction to associates, and ensuring compliance with store standards.
  10. Support recovery efforts throughout the store as required.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required; candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  2. A minimum of one year of retail sales experience is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated skills in furniture merchandising and sales are advantageous.
  4. Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential.
  5. Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and to perform various physical tasks throughout the workday.
  6. Availability to work a flexible schedule of at least 30 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Basic proficiency in English literacy, mathematics, and computer skills is required.
