About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified School Nurse to join our team at Amergis. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of students in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to assess student health needs and develop plans for support.
  • Promote healthy practices and nursing services to students to support their academic success.
  • Coordinate services with other special services personnel within the school to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Communicate effectively with school administrators, teachers, and staff to ensure student health needs are met.
  • Follow school district policies and procedures for health, emergency care, and student safety.
  • Monitor student health records and provide follow-up evaluations as needed.
  • Develop and implement health education programs for students and staff.
  • Collaborate with local health agencies and community resources to provide comprehensive support for students.
Requirements
  • Current nursing license for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Certification or Credential in school nursing.
  • One year prior school nursing experience.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Computer proficiency required.
