Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Truck Wash and Yard Staff member at National Carriers, Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our trailer fleet, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trailer Cleaning: Wash and sanitize reefer trailers to be loaded, and wash livestock trailers to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Yard Operations: Arrange trailers in the yard in their designated parking spaces, open and close trailer doors, and maintain a log of washed trailers and report any faulty equipment.
  • Truck Operations: Drive a fuel truck in the yard to fill trailers, and climb up and down a shag truck constantly to shag trailers in and out of the loading docks.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring trailers are clean and ready for loading, and by being proactive in resolving any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work in inclement weather, and be able to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read and write English is a plus, and must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Equipment Operation: Must be able to operate a pressure washer and other equipment safely and efficiently.
