Position Summary:

As a Yard Delivery Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our yard. This includes loading and unloading materials, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers, and organizing and maintaining the yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with building materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload building materials onto trucks, ensuring accuracy and ensuring that all products are handled carefully and safely at all times.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, yard trucks, and other vehicles
  • Drive company trucks to deliver materials to designated locations
  • Organize and maintain the yard, including keeping inventory stocked and neatly organized.
  • Assist customers in locating and loading materials, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Keep track of inventory and report any shortages or damages to the Yard Manager.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of building materials and construction industry preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
