Job Summary:

The Financial Counselor will be responsible for directing and coordinating administrative and financial services, including office, clerical, human resources support, and supportive services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical financial concepts, practices, and procedures, and will be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary contact for partners, patients/residents, and family members, discussing and educating them on various services offered by the nursing home and methods of payment for those services.
  • Verifying accuracy of patient information and completeness of admission file, updating/maintaining accurate daily census, and accurately reporting daily nursing hours.
  • Making daily deposits and records in a timely manner, reconciling facility petty cash, and assisting with Medicaid pending procedures, including assistance with the Medicaid application.
  • Performing Human Resources, Recruiting, and Payroll functions, distributing funds and recording transactions from Patient Trust fund and facility petty cash, and preparing transfer of expense form.
  • Completing new vendor process and ensuring all vendors are contracted with PruittHealth, assisting with month-end and year-end processes and procedures, and following all company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.
Qualifications:

We are seeking a candidate with a High School diploma or equivalent, and two to four years of experience in Healthcare Administration or a related field. An Associate's degree is preferred, as is billing and financial experience.
