Job Title: Janitorial Area Supervisor

At Peace of Mind Facility Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Area Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations within a designated area, ensuring that all locations meet our company's cleanliness and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Management: Oversee the daily operations of janitorial staff within assigned areas, schedule and coordinate cleaning tasks to ensure all areas are covered efficiently, and monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain open communication with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns promptly, ensure all client complaints and requests are handled quickly and effectively, and build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster trust and satisfaction.
  • Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of cleaning sites to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations, identify areas needing improvement and implement corrective actions, and document inspection results and communicate findings to both management and staff.
  • Employee Training: Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development, ensure all employees are trained on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and use of equipment, and conduct regular training sessions to keep staff updated on new procedures and industry standards.
  • Call Out Coverage: Manage and coordinate coverage for any call outs or absences within the janitorial team, be prepared to step in and cover shifts if necessary to maintain service levels, and develop a contingency plan for unexpected absences to ensure continuous service.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and training, prepare reports on cleaning activities, inspections, and customer feedback, and assist in budgeting and resource allocation for the janitorial department.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations, provide guidance and enforce safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries, and conduct regular safety audits and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the janitorial or cleaning industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and clients
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ability to handle client complaints and operational issues effectively
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, inspections, and administrative tasks
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and cover shifts as needed
  • Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
