Position Summary:
This role is responsible for delivering psychiatric services to adults enrolled in mental health programs at Catholic Charities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage medication for enrolled clients.
  • Provide psychiatric care in both intensive treatment and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with crisis services and medical management to address client needs.
  • Assess clients for potential psychotropic medication requirements.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications, ensuring clients understand their benefits and risks.
  • Order and review laboratory tests as necessary for comprehensive care.

Consultation and Coordination:

  • Work with clinical staff to facilitate client care.
  • Coordinate with external physicians for comprehensive psychiatric and medical management.
  • Ensure accurate psychiatric diagnoses and assessments are conducted.
  • Provide clinical leadership in treatment and discharge planning.
  • Educate clinical staff on medication management and related issues.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Adhere to agency policies and procedures for effective program management.
  • Maintain records in accordance with BHO requirements and agency guidelines.
  • Document all clinical activities accurately and timely.
  • Complete necessary training and licensing requirements as per professional standards.

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
This position involves standing, walking, bending, and performing tasks requiring low physical exertion, with these demands occurring up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • ARNP, MD, or DO with Psychiatric Board Certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care experience in psychiatric services.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide culturally competent services.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not mandatory.

Licensure:

  • Current unrestricted licensure in the State of Washington.
  • Active DEA License for prescribing.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum liability insurance.
