Contracting Specialist

Job Summary:
The Contracting Specialist is a key member of the AHMC Healthcare team, responsible for negotiating and managing contracts with healthcare providers. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with healthcare providers, including ancillary services agreements and one-time agreements.
- Provide contracting support to the Managed Care Department, including developing and maintaining relationships with providers.
- Assist with the resolution of provider disputes and oversee the distribution of Managed Care contracts throughout the company.
- Abide by AHMC Code of Conduct, Policy and Procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 18 months Managed Care Contracting experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Thorough understanding of the healthcare market and Managed Care operations.
- Strong personal communication and critical thinking skills.
Education/Certification/License:
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college is preferred or a combination of work-related experience and high school diploma.
