Job Summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty vehicle components, including electrical systems, suspension, and steering systems.
  • Diagnostic Scanning: Use diagnostic scanning equipment to identify vehicle problems and recommend repairs.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance tasks in our facilities, including snow removal and equipment operation.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: 5 years of experience in automobile maintenance, or specialized certifications/licenses applicable to automobile servicing.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand for 1 hour, sit for 1 hour, move from standing to squatting position 25 times, crouch or kneel, walk 25 feet 10 times, lift and transfer 50 pounds, carry 50 pounds, push/pull 100 pounds, and grasp objects with each hand.
  • Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Work Environment
  • Auto Shop: Work in a garage environment with exposure to hazardous fluids and fumes.
  • Heavy Equipment: Use heavy equipment and tools.
