Job Summary

As a Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor at Tyson Foods Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our production processes. This position requires a strong background in food processing, scientific and technical fields, with a focus on regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production practices, including raw material receiving, preoperational and operational sanitation, and finished product quality.
  • Ensure adherence to Food Safety Systems, government regulations, and Tyson FSQA policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain SQF-based programs to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Monitor and report product issues, audit results, and quality-related customer complaints.
  • Interact with customers and their agents for product showings, plant tours, and audits.
  • Perform research and development activities, conduct sanitation training, GMP training, SQF training, and education to employees.
  • Implement and maintain SQF programs, and select, train, and manage FSQA Supervisors/Technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related to the job, with a focus on food processing scientific and technical fields.
  • 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • SQF and HACCP certification preferred, with broad knowledge of SQF, HACCP, USDA, GMP, SSOPs.
  • Standard computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Plant View, SAP, and other Tyson mandatory operating programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to correspond with all levels of the organization.
