Job Description

Aerospace Quality Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Quality Engineer to oversee all customer, supplier, internal, and external audits. This position will be responsible for maintaining procedure and documentation systems, participating in development activities to improve products and processes, and hosting AS9100 Rev D certification body audits and supporting customer audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Document quality assurance activities and create reports.
  • Support the use of statistics, metrics for product improvement and process control.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Provide data and Pareto analysis of problem parts and processes.
  • Ensure that QMS standards are followed.
  • Engage and Champion Continuous Improvement Projects and activities throughout the facility.
  • Support Safety Committee

Requirements

  • Associates/ Bachelor?s Degree required.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent QMS process preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality assurance tools, methods, and concepts.
  • Certain technical skills and training, such as; quality tools and techniques, ability to read and understand engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), problem solving skills (8D), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) are desired.
  • Working knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Engineer.
  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred.
