Job Summary

Responsible for managing the financial planning process and ensuring the profitability of existing and new business operations. Provides analysis of profitability variances and recommendations for corrective actions. Develops financial and operational objectives, ensuring operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development, with a greater degree of impact on business results and typically managing one or more groups of professional employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develops and manages the analysis of actual results against planned objectives, presenting data in a logical and clear format for management to develop action plans.
  2. Manages the preparation of presentations to management on actual results, budgets, forecasts, and other relevant data.
  3. Prepares and reviews budget materials, analyzing emerging financial trends of the Company.
  4. Compares financial results to planned or forecasted results, explaining variances and recommending future actions.
  5. Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by the Company.
  6. Serves as a technical liaison to the accounting staff and other departments, providing financial planning experience, financial information, and modeling, activity analysis, and variance analysis.
  7. Supervises, coaches, develops, and prioritizes the workflow for senior Financial Analysts.
  8. Performs and critiques economic evaluation justifications for capital expenditures.
  9. Interacts with other Finance team members, sales, and call center management in the preparation and submission of daily, monthly, and annual forecasts and reports, including project costing, business unit Profit & Loss presentations, variances vs. forecast, and headcount planning and forecasting.
  10. Supports senior management in business analysis and strategic initiatives.
  11. Leads process improvement initiatives and business metrics development.
Requirements
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
