The Overnight Sales and Service Associate (OSSA) is an integral part of the Club Operations team dedicated to providing exceptional service to both members and guests, ensuring a friendly and informative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Member Interaction
Enhance member satisfaction by:
- Delivering a warm welcome and prompt assistance to members
- Building strong relationships with members and addressing their inquiries
- Resolving any member issues efficiently and escalating when necessary
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the club
- Conducting regular cleaning and identifying equipment needing attention
Guest Engagement & Onboarding
Encourage guest visits and assist with membership enrollment by:
- Making guests feel at ease within the club
- Providing tours and discussing available amenities
- Motivating guests to pursue their fitness aspirations
- Presenting the club's offerings in an engaging manner
- Clarifying any misconceptions regarding fitness services
- Ensuring new members are properly introduced to their Personal Trainer
Retail Sales & Promotions
Drive additional revenue through retail sales by:
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of retail products
- Ensuring proper display and merchandising standards
- Encouraging member referrals for guest visits
- Promoting in-club offers such as Personal Training and Membership Add-Ons
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Sales & Service Manager.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with all sales and administrative processes
- Proficient computer skills for using company systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
Education & Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and AED certification required (training provided)
- Completion of OSSA training is mandatory before independent work
Experience
- 6-12 months in a customer service role preferred
- Experience with overnight shifts is a plus
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems is advantageous
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and a moderately loud environment is expected.
Travel Requirements
Some travel may be necessary for meetings and training sessions.

24 Hour Fitness offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage and company-paid benefits such as life and accident insurance. Eligible team members may accrue vacation hours and receive a complimentary membership.
Compensation
All employees receive a free club membership, access to the Employee Assistance Program, basic insurance, and a 401k plan. Additional benefits are available for those working an average of 30 hours or more per week.
