Position Summary

The Block Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling various castings to create block assemblies using specialized tools and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and performance of our heating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble fabricated components into substantial subassemblies and complete units.
  • Conduct hydro tests on block assemblies to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
  • Verify the accuracy of block assembly and maintain precise documentation of the process.
  • Utilize air tools, lifting devices, and calibrated instruments effectively.
  • Adhere to established guidelines and procedures while working under direct supervision.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED. While prior experience in a related field is preferred, we welcome candidates with a willingness to learn and grow in this role.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in operating air tools and lifting devices.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual discrepancies.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy components (up to 1100 lbs) as required.
Work Environment

This position involves moderate risk and requires the use of personal protective equipment due to potential hazards associated with machinery and chemicals.
