Job Summary:
SpineSearch is seeking an experienced Medical Billing/Coding Supervisor to join our team in a large surgery department in Suffolk County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, with a proven track record of supervising a team and ensuring accurate and timely claims processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily charges and proactively review billing and aging reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Assign work to team members to reduce charge lag and ensure efficient claims processing.
- Review daily reconciliation for charges and TOS payments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a liaison between the billing team and other departments to ensure clean claims and resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement processes to improve billing efficiency and reduce errors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- At least 3 years of medical billing experience, with a strong background in coding and billing regulations.
- Must have some type of coding certification, such as CPC or CCS.
- Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a medical billing or coding environment.
