About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to ensure the integrity, stability, and efficiency of our data center services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, replace, and configure rack level power resiliency hardware (UPS/ATS/PDU) in our IDF and MDF spaces.
  • Deploy new equipment, decommission obsolete gear, and perform low-voltage patch cable clean-up.
  • Provide onsite support for IT requests within our Site Engineering and Operations service delivery model.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years of directly related experience in IT Data Centers, IDF's, and MDF's.
  • Experience with rack level UPS units (installation, support, and configuration), primarily APC.
  • Experience with Network access layer hardware (switches) and servers.
  • Knowledge of Data Center management tools (DCIM) and data entry.
