About the Role

This position serves a key function as a systems engineer with skills in hardening networks, supporting security vulnerability scans and risk assessments, remediating Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and responding to security data calls from higher authority to ensure NAS systems remain secure. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing robust cybersecurity solutions, analyzing network diagrams for potential security vulnerabilities, and assessing system Configuration Management (CM) activities.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, electrical, electronic, chemical, industrial, mechanical, aeronautical, or computer from a college or university with a degree curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

  • 11+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity engineering and/or security operations (Security Operations Center Analyst work)
  • Proven experiences supporting FIPS-199 High Impact categorized operational systems
  • Experience with advanced vulnerability assessment cybersecurity tools and technologies

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location, qualifications, and experience.
